install on 2nd & 3rd computer

Post by wombat100 »

Hi Guys,

here's my problem, I purchased PSP X6 uograde last August 2013 lifetime version, I had it on three computers, then my two laptops died at the same time, ok out comes my external backup HD, you guest it, it will not reinstll, so I have to reinstall all of my programs, but I do not have the installer for PSP X6, I went to the PSP support page logged in and now they want $19.95 for me to just ask a tech question,

is this correct?

Should I have to pay for tech support?

Appreciate your help on this one guys, I still have it installed on my desktop.

You can go to Corel.com and log into your account. At the bottom of the page is a link for Order History where you can re-download or if you did not purchase directly from Corel download a trial version of X6 and input your registration number. If you registered your product there will be a record on Corel.com in case you don't have it backed up somewhere.

Hi Kathy,

Thank you for your help, I must first say that I had Vista installed and my computer crashed, so I installed Win 7.

I did the download and when I exe the file I get this error
CRC ERROR: The file C:\User\wombat\AppaData\local\temp\Corel Pasintshop Pro X6\16.0.0.1\setup\PSPPro.msi dosent match the file in the setup's.cab file.
The medium from which you are running the setup maybe corrupted; contact your software vendor

Your expert help would be appreciated.

Just been to support and it looks like I may have to purchase priorty support, if that is the case then PSP has lost me as a customer, I will install gimp.

Try using the Cleanup Tool to uninstall any leftover bits, then reinstall again after redownloading the installer from the website. See http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=52337

Go into your user accounts control for your computer. Create a new user account with admin privileges. Log out of any preexisting accounts and log onto just the new user account. Try to install the program on the new user account. If it works you can then delete the new account or leave it. If it doesn't work then Corel will likely give you free help, even though it says paid help. They offer help with installs, but if they'd answer every question on how to copy/paste or layers or other things that are working properly they'd never get anything else developed.
