to adds to my other woes with video, VideoStudio X6 will not recognize my camcorder Sony DCR-TRV25E while it will recognize My Webcam ok I have tried connecting via USB & FireWire nothing I do will get it to show,

Just to clarify:-
Does your PC "see" the camera? Is the FireWire driver "Legacy"
Have you tried WinDV to download the video?
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.
