I have a current 'workflow' which developed over the years. Perhaps not super efficient, but until now good enough. Now I bought ASP2 and I'm looking into how I can do it from now on, and I have a question about the location of the files and ASP finding them from within the library.
Until now:
- A fast SSD disk where I import my new photo's
- Viewing, editing and exporting by using Geeqie, Lightzone and Gimp
- Move the folder to a internal 2Tb disk
- Backing up the same folder to an external disk
With ASP I guess it will be a problem using the SSD for importing into the library when afterwards, after selecting, editing and exporting, I move all the files to another disk?
If possible, I really would like to keep using the SSD for that purpose, because of the speed. Is there a way ASP can still keep track of the files/catalogs after I moved them to the other disk, or should I change my workflow and import the files directly into that 2TB disk?
Adjusting my current workflow to ASP
