Is there a proper order for filters when Mercalli is included? I am guessing that Mercalli should be first, but I am not sure this is really the cause of my problems. I have Mercalli properly scan the video, and the Preview window plays it without the Mercalli notice. Then no matter the many tests I have done, the rendered video has the Mercalli notice to scan the video. It's almost as if Mercalli is not installed properly since I can't render any Mercalli filtered video.
Any suggestions?
Al

Re: Having issues with Mercalli
Are you outputting to progressive/frame based video? I am pretty sure that is what Mercalli wants...

Re: Having issues with Mercalli
I was rendering MPEG-4, which I think was progressive. However, it worked now when I rendered AVC/h264, which is really what I should have been doing all along anyways. It is still interesting that Mercalli may not work with some combinations of source and rendering selected... Al

Re: Having issues with Mercalli
I've used it successfully with Hero 3 AVC/mp4 as well as HDV. The latter, as you know, is interlaced high def mpeg-2 but I output in progressive AVCHD... Worked fine.

Re: Having issues with Mercalli
I think the key is to have the Project properties identical to the rendering file; at least, that's what I have found to work reliable. For example: Project properties 1280x720 and then render to 1920x1080 will not work... Al

Re: Having issues with Mercalli
Hi Guys
This problem has happened to me, it seems to be the frame rate that is causing the issue.
I recorded AVCHD 50 fps as a test to compare quality against Avchd 25fps, the 50 would be converted to 25fps in order to burn the disc.
It was the frame rate difference that caused Mercalli to give the error “The video analysis must be executed again”
I did try several options in changing the frame sizes / data rates etc but only the frame rate caused the problem. I guess its to be expected with the stabilization requiring all frames.
I had hoped that Save Trimmed Video would be available, then replace the individual clips, unfortunately that option is greyed out after adding the filter.
