I've been using PSP since JASC v.3, and I'm still using Pro X3 on a Windows 7 32-bit machine. I write technical manuals and often have to include photos of machinery and inside computer equipment. I need to add labels on the photo with an arrow pointing the part being discussed. I know it's very old fashioned, not new and cool, but I still need it. I use Microsoft Word 2010 which has the tools needed but it's clumsy and I would prefer to do it directly on a layer in PSP. Does anyone know the best way to do it?
Thanks

You can use the text tool, and the preset shape tools. Preset shapes include arrows.
If you want smaller arrows you can use the pen tool to draw straight lines and use a line style that has an arrow at the end.
The line style is part of the "stroke" to set its color use the foreground color on the materials palette. To fill in the text with a certain color use the background color of the materials palette.

You can also use the Pick Tool (looks like an arrow, or press K to select it) to move the text or arrow once set on the image. You can also use the Pick Tool to rotate or resize the text or arrow to your liking.
