Action sequence photography
Just a quick question....I have Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2, can I make action sequence photos with this program from my Go Pro burst shots...or should I just upgrade?

Yes. Technically all you really need is a system that supports layers and an eraser or mask.
So PSPX2 even PSP 7 can do it. Gimp can do it. paint.net can do it. Nothing to it really.
Now, that being said, if the action sequences are not stable (taken on a tripod) it'll be harder in PSPX2 because there is no alignment function. It won't stack the layers for you, so you'll have to move and nudge the individual layers yourself.
PSP X4, X5, and x6 have a new tool called Photo Blend. It's actually a separate program from PSP but what it does is it lets you import all of the photos you want to use, align them, and then paint out or paint in the areas on each photo that you want to remove or keep. It then processes them and you can export the result to PSP for further editing if you want.
I'd recommend downloading the trial of X6 and testing it out to see if it works well for you, or is what you're looking for.
But yeah, at its most basic and time consuming, layers and an eraser are all you need.
