What's the difference between Contrast & Local Contrast??
What's the difference between Contrast & Local Contrast??
Can anyone explain the difference? The online help is too vague, and I can't see much difference between the two on my photos. Thanks

Why isn't local contrast possible on a layer?

Re: What's the difference between Contrast & Local Contrast
Thanks. Seems like all the explanations are vague, or rather very technical, which is why they seem vague to me. And the results are subtle, so no wonder I didn't notice any. Anyway, local contrast seems worthwhile to know about, so will keep reading until it sinks in.

Re: What's the difference between Contrast & Local Contrast
Carefully applied local contrast makes an image pop more. Overdoing it sucks major.
Not being able to do it in regions is a major setback in my eyes.
