Converting CD music to MP3

Post by Rick F »

I want to add my own background music to my slideshow in place of those supplied with the picture show3 program. My question is I have a cd disk of the music I would like to add, Is there a program free or otherwise that will copy my music from the disk and convert it to MP3 and then I can copy the MP3 music to : Uleadsystems/UleadCD+DVD/PictureShow3/content/audio
I then know how to transfer the background music in MP3 format. Thank you :D

there are some good programs out there to rip CDs and output various file types, including MP3. I use EZCD Extractor from Poikosoft. There are others that are free that will do just as good a job, but I have been using this one successfully for a while and am used to it. Nearly all of them will also read the Album information from CD Text or CDDB online and create your ID tags in the MP3 files as well. This could all change if they ever get the copy protection working well on CDs in the future.

Go to www.download.com. Type "CD to MP3" on the search box then you can choose from a list of free wares and trial version cd ripping applications. Read the reviews, try different softwares then use the one that suits you best.

I personally prefer Musicmatch Jukebox...
