pop-up menu...is...not...working

Post by zero divider »

Ok I'm making a webpage using PI 8 and my problem is that I can make the script on the image map and slice thing for a pop-up menu but when I go to check it out in the browser, it's not there. I checked the HTML of the file and the script is there but I don't understand Javascript in any way so I don't know what's wrong or if I have to do something with it in PhotoImpact.

Help please.

This problem is not with PhotoImpact. You can only use PhotoImpact to create simple "image based" web pages. If you want to edit the site further and add more features like the one you want to do, it is advisable for you to learn HTML as well so after making a PhotoImpact webpage, you can make some minor tweaks with it and troubleshoot any problem that comes with it.

There are a lot of HTML tutorials you can learn from for free like web based or PDF downloadeable tutorals. It's not as hard as it looks. Don't be afraid to go down on the source codes!

I know HTML. What I was saying was that along with these "image based" web pages, on Ulead you can slice your images into smaller pieces and apply a script effect that uses Javascript. I did this with the pop-up selection box script and it isn't working.

Several others on this Forum had reported the same problem.

Microsoft has very much stopped supporting Java since the Law suite, and XP2 can actually remove some JavaScript elements. No telling where this will all go. If you are uploading to an all Microsoft based Server, you might want to use Front Page Transition Elements, or some other HTML or XML editor.

Remember that the MS and Norton Firewall are designed to stop Pop-ups and many animations.

Nice Graphic!
