Corel Videostudio Pro X7 crashes during rendering

I haven't had any issues with Video studio until today when trying to render a video. I put all my clips in which are .avi files and render themin to a .mp4 video file and it gets to the loading screen of showing oyu how far it is in to the rendering process. Instead of going to complete it either just stays at 0% or goes to 1% and crashes saying Corel Studio stopped working and has the close the program button up and it just closes. Please help I have uninstalled and reinstalled at least 5 times and restarted my computer.

What sort of avi file are they? and their properties?
AVI is a container, not a file type and can hold over 800 different file types. Not all of which will work with VS.

How long is the movie?
Can you render just a very small section of the movie to MP4?
Have you many layers?
Have you got the latest graphics card driver and directx installed?

They are video files made by Bandicam and FRAPS I dont think its them though because they always worked. At first it was 13 minutes but i used files that I know worked on Corel before and it just wouldn't render it would start the process but then the windows it stopped working window popped up and then I had to close the program. I have the latest graphics card driver right now and driectx. No I didnt have any layers when I was trying to figure out the problem with just one clip but first time i did have 2-3 layers. And no it doesnt even make the file.

If you are using files that have worked previously in VS then as you say, we know the files are good adn we know the programme is good for them.

You need to figure out what has changed on your computer to make this change, so what programmes have been added, removed, codecs added/removed etc etc
