I was trying to cut/paste some text from another source to scroll on a black background. When I went to paste the text into the window, it came out very wide so I tried to use the nodes to narrow the box and it wouldn't. I wound up typing it by hand. My question is can you set the box to be stationary so that you can set the size of your font and then have it automatically wrap based on the set box parameters? I found as I kept typing it would just keep going off of the frame in view so I had to continually put in returns to keep the text over the proper width I wanted rather than having the box stop the text and wrap it. Also, when I tried to resize the box with text inside, it would increase and decrease the font size automatically.
What I'm looking for is a way to set a text box over a frame that is stationary and allows me to type within it where the text will automatically wrap and stay the same font size that I designate. Let me know if I haven't made my question clear...it's hard to describe. Thanks!!

There is no "frame" as such when typing titles - it is a text box and the size of it is set by the size and length of the text - changing the size of the box will change the size of the text - there is no way to set fixed parameters for auto wrap you need to watch what your typing and hit enter when you reach the screen width.
I choose a text size to start with and just ensure that my text stays onscreen - see what I do here :-

Re: VideoStudio X7 Scrolling Text
Thanks...that's why I did (and thanks for the video too). In Pinnacle Studio, you set a box with the nodes and just type away...it word wraps automatically for whatever size font you currently have selected and you can just change it by highlighting after (or selecting before) and it adjusts within the current box. This method is very manual...you have to be watching the text the entire time so you know when to return to keep it over the frame and also so you can see what you are typing.

Re: VideoStudio X7 Scrolling Text
Well you could type it up in Word where you could set a width and have automatic text wrap and then paste it into the VS window.
It just needs a little experimentation first to find out what size text and how long each line needs to be to fit properly in the preview window - if you just type as you did before in Word then presumably you tried to paste an A4 width into VideoStudio -can be done if you determine suitable parameters first.
