Aftershot Pro 1 & 2 - Linux Mint 17 - no printer available

Post by Hobgoblin »

Just a heads up ...

It appears that we still need to run the following in Terminal to get ASP to see the printers in Mint 17.

Code: Select all

sudo ln -s /var/run/cups/printcap /etc/printcap
I think this is possibly a Ubuntu/Mint failing rather than an ASP one though.

I have to print by using Turboprint anyhow, otherwise my printer isn't recognized (Canon Pixma 9500)

So, this ugly bug wasn't fixed yet ? See http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=94&t=52695
I monkeyed it a few weeks ago. I'll have a look at it and go back to Corel support.
Edit :
Er... it is one way only ? Once a bug has been submitted, one can't track it nor see what other bugs have been reported ?

That's the way it has always been with the Monkey. Greg says he is looking for a way to manage bug reporting that will be more useful both to us as users and to Corel as developers.
