adding transitions to VS X7 32bit and 64bit

Post by Sharona »

I have some old transition packs that I am using since VS8. they are installed and when a new release arrive I just copy the .VFX file and after restarting the application I can see it in the list and use it. I started with VS x7 64bit and copied the Burger but no group showed nor any of them exist in the all list. The same happened with other packs. Then I uninstalled the 64bit and installed the 32bit. after the restart only the Burger group show up. Does any one know what should I do in order to get this old stuff work in any vs x7 version 32bit or 64bit ?

Well certainly your never going to get 32 bit transitions to work in a 64 bit programme - just can't happen - even the New Blue and Pro-Dad extras included with X6 Ultimate do not work in X7 64 bit and new FX packs were issued with X7 to work on 64 bit.

I don't have a real answer why transitions from VS8 do not work in X7 - except just that it seems a bridge to far to expect items which worked in a programme released for use on Windows XP to function exactly the same in a programme released 10 years later to work on Windows 7 & 8 - changes happen .
