Re-creating a DVD folder in MF3

Post by Mike S »

Having 'lost' the original .dwz file for a project (see: 'Warning MF & Windows Explorer' below), I have been trying to determine how to re-create the DVD folder for one of my completed DVDs, so that I could effect some modifications to its layout.

My first attempt was to try to re-'create video disc' by setting up a 'new project' using the original 'Video_TS' file on my hard disc.

This sucessfully brought up 'Select scenes to capture' but after selecting 'Finish', I got the error message 'Dvdmf. This program has performed an illegal operation....'

My second attempt was to try to re-'create video disc' by using the 'Video_TS' file, which I had burnt to disc with the completed project. This resulted in the same error message.

My third attempt was to re-'create video disc' 'by using existing project' and selecting 'DMF_ON_DISC.dwz'.

This successfully 'Copied video 1..' back to my hard disc and brought up 'Add/edit Media (DMF_ON_DISC.dwz). However, although I was able to modify the content and a folder was created 'Edit _disc....\DMF_ON_ DISC.dwz', nothing happened when I subsequently tried to re-open this folder using 'Create video disc' 'Existing project '.

Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong or how else I might be able to set about re-creating a Disc Folder of a burnt DVD, so that I can re-edit the project?

Thank you.
