did a quick test with ASP2 (linux) compared to Photivo compared to ASP2+ASP HDR (WIN) compared to Photivo (linux)
Tried to achieve a relative natural look in both ASP (Pseudo-) HDR and Photivo (dynamic compression).
See screenshots - concerning natural look and highlight recovery.
o Metadata (Date ...) is deleted when working with ASP HDR) so I had to copy Metadata from the original Picture to the new one.
o No good integration of ASP HDR with ASP the picture is not saved in the same folder where its opened by default
o BW-Pseudo HDR is saved as bw and not rgb tiff - ASP cannot read this tiff ...
So for now - on problematic files concerning highlights, or for special files its better to open the raw in photivo - save as 16bit tiff and finish in ASP.
