After applying a mask frame to a video clip, I would like to go to customize motion and add a shadow and/or a border that is same shape of the mask frame. It appears now that the shadow and/or border always takes on the rectangular shape. Is there way to apply a shadow and/or border that is the same shape of the applied mask?
Thanks,
Barry

Re: VS X7: Applying a shadow and/or border to masked clip
Hi Barry
I assume you are using the Chroma Key/Mask effects??
When you add effects you are adding them to the video/image clip.
You cannot add an effect to the mask.
Besides the mask is rectangular (same size as clip) with a shaped hole in the middle.
The shape/hole is the video showing through the mask.
You could create your own transparent PNG or Gif in the shape of your shadow, adding that to another overlay track, may work but does seem a lot of trouble?
Have you explored the options using the FX Picture in Picture filter

Re: VS X7: Applying a shadow and/or border to masked clip
Once again lata... thanks for your support and input.
I did create a mask and tried to work with it in new blue picture in picture. I could not find a way to shape the border or frame to the masked video.
I have a couple of other programs that will do this, so when I want this feature I can do it in one of them. I was just hoping VSX7 could do it.
