PSP X6 BUG: Bold font is italicized

I have noticed that, using the Arial Narrow TrueType font, when I enable Bold, it also automatically italicizes it (although Italics is disabled).

Has anyone seen this happen with other fonts?

I don't even see that with Arial Narrow, in X6 in either 64 or 32 bit versions. I used 120 pt as the size for clarity, though I get the same as your 72 pt as well. See attached image:

It could be that the bold font is damaged in some way that makes PSP unable to use it, and instead it chooses what it thinks is the nearest match - bold and italic.

A possible solution would be to reinstall the Arial Narrow family, but it might be hard finding a way to extract and install the fonts only without having to reinstall the software that installed it in the first place (it's probably part of Windows).

You can possibly use a program called Fontrunner to inspect your windows fonts and see if there seems to be a problem there.
In my Xp windows there are three Arial Narrow fonts including Arial Bold, Arial Bold Italic.

Thanks for the responses! Shortly after, I noticed I indeed have Arial Narrow and Arial Narrow Bold installed. The bug pertains to Arial Narrow, but when I choose Arial Narrow Bold in PSP, it doesn't automatically Italicize on me and appears as it should.

I guess I should be more conscious about using the Bold variant of a font (if available) before manually applying the Bold style.
