ASP2 olympus EM-1 wrong colors

Post by EnricoV »

There are some news about the bug on olympus em-1 raw files ? http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=90&t=53601
The time and the 30 days trial is going ahead ... For me ( and other Oly users) this trial time is unuseful until the bug will be fixed.

... same for me.

Without a bug fix for the E-M1 this version is useless.
Quite disappointing.

They are working on this problem. I have exchanged emails a couple of times with a tech assigned to the E-M1 color rendering problem. In my last communication, files were uploaded per his request.

A Circumvention to bad EM-1 Colours

Post by KimValentine »

Hi,
I have also found that 'sometimes' the red and blue colour channel are reversed.
However , I found that if click on the thumbnail, select settings and select merge external Metadata the colours correct. Hope this helps.

Ah, thanks for the tip, that indeed does help! This really needs to be fixed, though. I specifically updated to ASP2 for E-M1 support, only to run into this issue...

....the update 2.0.1.5 does fix the 'blue data' problem for E-M1 files but because the corrupt data were written to the associated XMP files then re-editing those files with the original XMP files in place would show as 'blue'. Delete the XMP for those files and all should be good.
