Just loaded ASP2 on a Debian Wheezy system and I get the splash but it won't run. ldd shows all the libs are there but there is a complaint about no Nostalgia.dll at the top and the lengthy log ends in a segfault. Not sure the Nostalgia.dll is the show stopper. I can post it but I thought I would check to see if the problem has been fixed first.
added: The segfault happens immediately after the line 'Starting Catalog Manager' in the log.
thanks,
tjm

You installed the 64bit version, but nostalgia is still 32bit. That can be ignored.
The problem is elsewhere.

Thanks, I didn't think it was the Nostalgia.dll stopping the load and run. The log shows too many things progressing beyond the Nostalgia notice. I still stop after the 'starting catalog manager' line with a segfault.
Tried the 32 bit version and it's worse. Too many libs missing. I may try to resolve those if I get some time.

Re: Aftershot Pro 2 Linux 64bit
Problem found and rectified.
Might be my distribution/files or ASP2 but the problem was the libQt libraries.
ASP2 ships with libQt version 4.7.3 and my Debian install uses version 4.8.2. Might be
a glitch, might be a changed library routine but pointing ASP2 to the correct
libs did the trick.

If you start AS via the /usr/bin/AfterShotPro2 shell script, tat should happen automatically.tjm3 wrote:Might be my distribution/files or ASP2 but the problem was the libQt libraries.

And it does. Works perfectly. Never even thought about looking for a startup script.
Maybe I'll read the installation notes next time instead of jumping in head first.
I'll close the 4 support tickets.
thanks,
tony
