Hi,

New user and poster here. I am using VideoStudio Pro X7 and have 2 questions regarding animation. Am hoping someone out there might be able to help.

1) In the first image (hello) I want to bring text motion from out of the slide into it, sliding it from right to left near the bottom of the screen. But I want it to stop 3/4 of the way and stay there for a period of time. I tried using the Fly animation which works except there is no way to have it stop at a selected location. One of the posts talked about taking a snapshot and using overlay, etc. That works but it seems like a rather complicated process. Isn't there any way to have text motion stop at a pre-determined place on the screen?

2) In the second image (apple) I want to start on the left side of the frame, up about 2/3 of the way , and bring in a straight line, sloped down diagonally, over to the right side of the frame, not the edge. I also want it to increase in size while it goes from point A to point B. Also, in the attachment you will see that the apple has a white background. Is there a way to get rid of it by having it transparent, so that you don't see the white and only the background?

Many thanks in advance- I appreciate it.

To stop the animation in any particular place when using the fly animation adjust the position of the two orange sliders on the blue bar immediately under the preview window. by default the two sliders are together in the centre - the left hand one determines where the animation stops and the right hand one where it starts again - so for your purposes move the right one to the very right end and then experiment with the left one to get the stop in the correct place.

With regard to the apple - first to get rid of the white border - put the apple image in an overlay track and apply chroma key - this will make the white transparent.

The movement I would do using advanced motion which allows movement and zooming to your requirements - right click on the image in the overlay track and choose 'customise motion' - in the window which opens you will see options to set size and position etc - add as many key frames as you want across the bottom of the preview window in there and set size and position for each of those keyframes.
