Hi Graham

I thought the same except the Library Sample Images don’t work either which seems to indicate more than the VSP.

copywriter39 sent the VSP, I was able to open ok but not display the images, but it did look ok.
I have attached the vsp to this post.

It might happen if he continually works in a corrupted project file, so trying a brand new project would rule that out.
It may even be that the forced closure has corrupted the VS programme and a reinstall may be needed.

I can open he file, add new videos and stills to it and see all the new files, both my own and the supplied sample files.
I'd err on the side of corrupt programme now, but still await the trial of a new project.

Maybe copywriter39 could send one or two of the images to us to see if when we relink they work. I get all the titles ok, so I suspect getting a still image would work ok.

The problem was related to the graphics driver, a little odd as the pc was new.
Some of the symptoms are shown here:-
http://lata.me.uk/corel/lenovo/lenovo.htm

Library images ----The error “doesn't exist” also shows the files location but not the correct one, it referred to a different VS version.

I would urge you to check your Graphics drivers version.

I found updates via Windows Optional Updates, however you may have to visit the PC’s manufacturers web site.
I'll try updating the graphics driver. Would the existing file then work or will we need to create a new one.

Hi copywriter

Try creating a new project using the same images, let us know if you have any problems.

Try creating another project using the images from the library, I think from your previous reply you will have problems, and that should not be……..

We really don’t know what is causing the problems given that the jpeg images worked before, so what’s changed.

We don’t know what effect the shut down had on the computer, I don’t think it would have caused any problems as a low battery should force the pc to close ok.
After rebooting the pc did it start ok : or run through a recovery. If it ran a recovery then it may have installed another default graphics driver.

It may however require a re-install of the program which is probably the easiest option.

You should be able to use the original project file after updating the graphics driver.
