Videostudio11: More than 9 chapters

I realise that Videostudio 11 is now pretty antique but it has given me exemplary service for many years. As I don't use HD videos there's no real reason for me to upgrade.

Anyway, what I'd like to do is to have more than 9 chapters on a menu page. Back in 2006 Trevor Andrew suggested the following method. (http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... pter+names)

Go to VS 10 Create Disc and create a menu, edit to customise the menu, Add to Menu Template.
(Afaik You need to first create a menu in order that VS 10 creates the Favourites folder)
This will save the template and an ini file in:-
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\My Documents\Ulead VideoStudio\10.0\Favorites\4x3\Favorites
Copy the 12buttons.ufo file to this Favourites Folder.
Open the Ini file created earlier and Save As--- using ---- 12buttons_MS.ini as its name.
The template will show in the favourites section

Using this method I obtained the 12buttons template in the Favorites section. However, when I try to use it I get the error message "Failed to change menu template".

Photo Impact is the only program capable of creating a new template, still available from the US corel site (download)

You can then add the new template as described to the favourites folder, there are other locations to save the ufo file.

What aspect ration do you want to use 4:3 or 16:9.
Steves description is quite old and uses 4:3 not sure which template you have.

I will have a search of my pc to find a suitable 12, hopefully?

Video Studio 9 was the last version to use 12 thumbnails, I don’t have the program installed.

I have attached a menu template, I think it works ok.
Given a little more time I will check it out, let me know if you have problems.

Rather belated on my part, but many thanks for the template (thumbs12textw). I've just tried it out, adding a background photo for a bit of colour, and it seems to be working perfectly. I'd recommend it to anyone who has the same requirement and comes across this thread.
