Acer laptop with Win 7 PaintShop Pro X6 64bit version
I have just installed X6. In order to explain the problem in simple terms, I made the following experiment:
I have a jpg image which is simply a plain white background with the words SATURDAY EVENING on it in colour red and spread about halfway across the page. If I open that image in PSP X6 and then use the paintbrush (set to white) to paint out the wording, as soon as I click on another tool, for example the Pan tool or Pick tool, the first part of the wording re-appears! The same thing happens if I use the clone tool to remove the writing. As I said this was just an example but with other image files, the same thing happens and a part of the wording re-appears. I am sure that I am missing a simple trick somewhere.
I have used this method with X3 & X5 for years and never come up against this problem.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Geoff

Re: PSP X6 text problem
Are you zoomed in when you use the brush? Try doing the same thing with the image smaller than filling the window. I've had the same sort of effect when I zoom in on an area and use a tool. It's a bug.

Re: PSP X6 text problem
Thanks Markz.
You are right, It does occur when I am zoomed in. I hadn't noticed that.
Glad I'm not the only one to experience it. Hope they fix it in a later update.
