Hello,
Just purchased PSP X6 few days ago.
Seems like this question has been asked many times on the internet but the answer is always "Save As --> Options -->" and so on. I just want to change DEFAULT save quality which is kind of deteriorating the quality. A simple Irfan Viewer software I was always using for viewing and simple corrections had a great option "Try saving with the same quality as original" which was great. File saved with PSP X6 has a reduced number of colors, file size at 60-70% of the original (ie. 2.5M vs. 4M for a 9Mpix picture). But simply changing a default quality from 20 to say 10 would do...
Thanks
Default save quality - is it possible to change?

In SaveAs dialog there is an Option. See attachment.
And set Compression factor to lower value. Value 3 or 5 is fine.

Well, thanks, that works but I was wondering if can change DEFAULT behavior, so "Save" option (ie. when auto-saving by moving to a next picture after applying corrections). That would make things faster than "Save-As" each time...

Nope, you can't change the Default.
It has been asked for many times.
Maybe in the next version (I live in hope).
I have removed the Save icon from the Tools toolbar and only use Save As (F12 key), which I have now set at 1.
