I do not think they ever encrypted it.
They only encoded the WB in a silly annoying proprietary way that took Eric a few days to decipher.

Semantics aside, intentionally obfuscating/concealing data that has no good reason to be encrypted/encoded is just plain stupid.

It leaves open possibility for mistakes the the decryption/decoding process that is now a "hack" built in to the RAW tool because the camera manufacturer hasn't properly documented it.

Darktable - not done much with it - used Profilied Denoise (it knows about the a55 at 12800!) and wavelets about 0.92 IIRC - Could have pushed that a little more tbh.

Such a shame my A55 just stopped working a couple of months ago, and I just had to go and buy an A6000. :lol:
