VideoStudio X6 Ultimate 60fps?

Post by Lachlan Benson »

Hello,
How, or is it possible, to render a video on VideoStudio X6 as 60fps? I would prefer 60fps because I upload gaming videos and 60fps looks much better. :D

Kind Regards,
Lachlan

Hi Lachlan

Welcome to the forums
Yes you can create 60 / 50 fps video using X6.
You can change the timeline to use 60 / 50 frame editing, go to the Settings menu to check this option.

Settings – Make Movie Templates Manager will allow you to create your own template, Transport Stream h264 may be your best option.

Share Create Video File -- Avchd should also provide a 60fps template.

...Transport Stream h264 may be your best option.
Just to expand a little on Trevor's suggestion, In Make Movie Template Manager, first click the New button. Then in the dialogue box which appears, in Format Type select "MPEG Transport Stream Files [*.m2t]". Give the new template a name you will remember, then press OK. In the next box to appear, on the Compression tab click on Video Format and change it from its default MPEG-2 to H.264 Video, and tick the AVCHD box below that. Then adjust the other Properties to what you want. The 50/60 fps option is on the General tab in Frame Rate.

Oh yeah, one more question
Once I've done that. How do you render the video as 50/60fps? When you go to the create video file what do I select to get the preset I put in the Make Movie Templates Manager?

Thanks in advanced,
Lachlan Benson

Hi

when you create the new template you give it a meaningful name.
The template is available from Share Create Video File -- bottom of list adjacent to the Custom option.
The save window then shows the templates properties in the lower panel, I usually view these just to check I am using the correct template.
