Are you saying that when you use your external speakers you get no sound when editing, but when editing in the same manner with the same project you get sound when using headphones?

Re: Corel X6 Sound Issues
Hi Rob
There is a small problem with audio playback, not sure if it is only my setup as nobody else seems to have noticed?
Anyway its associated with FX filter option being selected whilst playing back in Clip mode. Playback in Project mode seems ok: not affected.
If you deselect FX library by selecting the top icon (media) then audio playback is fine.
Rob take a mental note of which option is selected when you loose audio.
As I say it may be just my pc that is giving this trouble, I have become used to it and simply deselect FX.
It could of course be the type of video formats you are using, Video Studio copes with most but not all types, and there are many non standard formats out there.
If the above is not the problem then please provide details of the video files properties.
I cannot understand why using headphones should be different to audio playback. That would be associated with your audio drivers? (I think?)

Looks to make sense, Where do I find the "FX Filter Option"?
Thanks

Hi Rob
Between the preview screen (on the left) and the library (on the right) is a vertical column of icons, the lower one is marked FX.
The top one Media opens the media library containing sample clips for video , photo , and audio.
