So I've been recording game footage with Dxtory. More recently I've been trying the LIVE commentary approach where I'm recording 2 streams with Dxtory, game sound and my microphone. After I record 10-15 minutes of footage, I can right-click on the giant AVI file to EXTRACT AUDIO STREAM to get 2 .WAV files. After I do that I delete audio stream 0, which is live commentary, but keep stream 1, which is game audio. After I import the whole giant AVI file and the WAV file with game audio, I set the WAV to stay in sync with the AVI file which for reasons I'm not sure of has my mic commentary running over the AVI video. If I try to split the audio from the AVI file from within VideoStudio x4, it will only split the commentary from the video. This kinda makes sense because it only plays the commentary on the AVI file within x4, but I've stated that 2 streams are recorded for each giant AVI recording.
The main problem I've come across is where I get this error message if I try to put any transitions in between editing cuts, like crossfade. I've been getting this error message saying:
"There is no common media type between these pins. 17128:1:4"
I've been able to run the WAV game audio as a separate track in sync with the original AVI video with AVI audio from mic chat. I tried deleting the WAV track, but I still hit the error when the transition is rendered.
My Dxtory settings for recording when this happens includes 2 audio streams. The first for the mic and the second for the game speaker audio. They both record PCM 48000 Hz, 16 bit, Stereo streams. When I play the recorded AVI file with VLC media player, there is no game audio, but my commentary because my mic is set to stream 1 I think. I can however split both streams after I Right Click the file in Windows.
I've recorded videos before with just a solo stereo speaker stream with game audio for the entire video, no mic at all. With those videos I can put transitions with no problem like this.
Resident Evil Remake Test. I can't say the same with this 2 stream configuration with Dxtory.
From what I can tell, the transitions are triggering the error while rendering. A solution would be to not use transitions in my LIVE commentaries, but what else can I do to fix this problem?

Re: Corel VideoStudio Pro X4 : Transitions Disrupting Projec
I'm still getting this problem. As a solution, I render the avi file with video and game audio first into an MP4. Then, I take that MP4 and sync that with my commentary .wav file, then I can edit the MP4 and wav files in sync as I please.
Something started to happen after that then. Some of the uploaded videos to youtube would take longer to process, then when they where done they'd be broken uploads out of sync. What's weird is that they play just fine in VLC or WMP, but they can't get processed by youtube properly.
1. What is with that error I mentioned in my first post?
2. What can prevent transitions from working, which is causing the error? That's the bottom line problem.
3. After immediately rendering an avi into an MP4, then editing in a wav file that was split from that avi previously, the finished MP4 I get works just fine on my PC, but youtube is destroying it. Why?
I like the transition effect. I don't know what started this problem because in my Dead Rising 2 Playthrough I didn't have any problems until around PART 18. I had to re-render most 10K bit rate videos into 15k ones to solve the sync problems, I was using a custom template that I had used for the whole playthrough at 10K. The 15K is from the default MP4 1920x1080 template. Mind you all my videos in that playlist up until 18 were at the 10K bitrate and they where just fine.
Until I solve this I'm gonna not use transitions.
Another thing, I've only had this problem with AVI files I've recorded with 2 wav steam in them. Game sound and mic commentary. The 1 stream recordings could be edited with transitions with no problem.
