tools palet

Post by jyarddog »

I am using PSP X4 Ultimate.
I accidently bumped or moved the horizontal tools bar which was nicely embedded with the rest of the horizontal bars on top. Now it is a bit bigger and kind of in a floatation mode. I can't get it back the way it was. Shutting down and restarting does not help. How can I correct this? it has some vertical dots and some fly-out arrows sideways - one of these is what I bumped into and messed things up. Bob

If the toolbar is dockable, you should see arrows appear on screen in the top middle, middle, and bottom middle of your workspace while dragging the bar. If you drag it over an arrow you´ll see a blue translucent rectangle. Release the mouse button and it should dock.

Sometimes, just doubleclicking on the title bar of the tool bar could dock it.

In all cases, under File/preferences/general program preferences.. -Palettes, Allow docking of the toolbar must have a check mark.

Another possibility could be to reset your workspace to default configuration, under File/preferences/reset preferences... If you have saved a custom workspace from before the wandering toolbar, you can reload it after resetting. Perhaps just reloading it would work, without reset.

Good luck.
