How to image skew via node editing?
Is there a way to skew an image/shape via node editing rather than entering numbers in fields? (For example, skewing a rectangle by moving nodes around on the corners?)

The pick tool has a skew transform mode, well it's labeled Shear but it's the same thing. A perspective transform mode. And a Free transform mode.
With these modes you can distort your image by dragging the corners and middle nodes.

I knew I wasn't going crazy. Would you believe that is now gone in 2020? Mine no longer has that option.LeviFiction wrote:The pick tool has a skew transform mode, well it's labeled Shear but it's the same thing.

First, you don't have which version you are using in your control panel. This question is most easily answered if you would share which version you are using with us. Go here ucp.php?i=172 and it should open your User Control Panel and have the Profile Tab selected. Scroll down to the very bottom and where it says Corel Programs list which programs and versions you have from Corel.Grundberg wrote:Is there a way to skew an image/shape via node editing rather than entering numbers in fields? That said, in PSP 2020 I can only find a single (and PIA) way to do this, if you're using a shape. If you want rounded corners, then you can just drag the top left node to the right and it'll work easy peasy. However, if you want to skew it, I cannot find an easier way than this (yet).
- Draw out your rectangle and make sure its layer is selected.
- Go to Objects > Convert to path
- Select the Pen tool and make sure it's in Edit Mode on the tool ribbon.
- Select the nodes you wish to edit.
- Now go back to Objects > Transform selected nodes > Select either Skew X or Skew Y.
- Finally, click on the nodes and drag them however you wish.
I hope this helps other PSP 2020 users with the same problem and if you know of a better way, please post.

Re: How to image skew via node editing?
I have PSP 2020 and drew a rectangle with the Shape tool and then was able to choose the Pick tool and even though it does not have the choices of Shear etc as mentioned by Levifiction , the shortcut keys worked - Hold down the Control and Shift keys and then a corner and you can move that node / point alone to make weird shapes from the rectangle.
Systems available Win7, Win 8.1,Win 10 Version 1607 Build 14393.2007 & version 20H2 Build 19042.867
