Problems Uninstalling X5/ Installing X6

I have PSP x(?) on a disk in a box in storage during a long-distance move I'm making. I hadn't expected it to take as long as it has, so last year I d/l'd a free trial of X5, and when it timed out, I tried to uninstall, but keep getting the message that Setup.xml can't be loaded, and may be corrupted. It also says to re-install from the original source.

Then I went to Corel and found I could only select X6, so I tried to install that, and tried twice, but the folder keeps coming up empty, even though it is listed in my program files. I've uninstalled that successfully both times, but still cannot uninstall X5.
