I have just purchased PaintShop Pro X6 from the Corel Digital Media store and tried to install it, but I keep getting the following message - 'Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again.' Windows 8.1 & BitDefender Total Security 17.27.0.1146
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Re: PaintShop Pro X6 - Installation
Does the installation process actually start? If so, how far does it get? Are you installing both the 32 and 64 bit versions or only one?
I too had trouble installing X6 first off (and also successive versions of Video Studio). But the installation process started and stopped at around 33% when it could not initiate the start of the Protexis Licensing System, which is what Corel uses to ensure we are all installing a legitimate copy of their programs. I won't go into the ethics of that, but when I tried skipping that, I got the same message as you and installation was aborted. However, after rebooting the computer and trying to install immediately after the computer reopened, and before starting up any other programs, the installation went as expected. This was on a Windows 8.1 64 bit machine.
I might also note, since you bought the program from the Corel shop, that they have a 30 day period in which they will help with installation problems without any charge. (And I also won't go into the ethics of their charging system!!

Re: PaintShop Pro X6 - Installation
Hi Ken,
Sorry about the delay. I managed to get through to Corel Support and tried the options they suggested, including installing in Safe Mode - same problems. However a remote connection form Corel Support managed to install and update X6 in under 30mins. Support had to run an X6 clean up tool to allow installation, this was due to remnants of X6 TBYB. We live and learn!!!

Re: PaintShop Pro X6 - Installation
Hello, I am having the same problem. I foolishly downloaded my Paint shop pro x2 onto a new computer then decided that I would upgrade and buy Pro x6. I then went to remove Pro2 which is when my problems started and I have not been able to download x6 again. I keep getting the error message that ''Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time please run set up again.' I have tried this to no effect. I see that I have Protexis sitting in my Common Files however this can't be accessed from the uninstall option. When I try to delete it directly it tells me that there are other files using this. Also in the Program list it is listing Prox6 but with only the restore database option under it which does nothing. Any advice of what I need to do?
