Issue installing update for PSPX6 SP2 W8.1

Post by cirasj »

When I go to install the update patch for PSPX6 SP2 on my Windows 8.1 machine, I can get through the set-up but when I select the update button, nothing happens. I have contacted Corel support and they think it is a java issue. I am not able to get the patch to work. I do not want to do a system restore to solve this problem not knowing if this will work. Has anyone else have this issue and what was the work around.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by this:
I can get through the set-up but when I select the update button, nothing happens.
Which set-up are you talking about -- of PSP itself, or the update? What version number shows in Help > About PSP? (Mine -- also on Win 8.1 64 bit -- shows 16.2.0.20, with the first "2" indicating that SP2 is already installed.)

It still says 16.1.
