Hi aladdin,
I am in contact with New Blue, they agree that there is a stuttering problem with this filter in preview, but ignored the rendering issue. I have just sent them a further email advising them that I had just carried out a test on a 6 second clip, the render time was exactly 13 minutes, also advise that the same test carried out in Adobe Premiere Elements 12 was just 0.9 seconds, confirming that there is a major conflict between VSX7 and the New Blue TouchUp filter.

One thing to note is that the Corel plugins are not GPU Accelerated while the Premiere plugins are. This could be making a difference in the times that you see.
NewBlueFX
Are they kidding!!!! are they trying to say that because Corel plugins are not GPU Accelerated, that's why Adobe is 866 times faster in rendering the same clip, pull the other one, it's got bells on

Re: Rendering issues X7
My reply to New Blue,
Hi Edward,
Whist I can accept that GPU acceleration has an effect on rendering speeds, not to the extent that Adobe is 866 times faster than Corel, or in the case of another VSX7 user, taking over 7 hours to render a 7 minute video.
It is only this filter that is causing these issues, rendering with other filters does not cause any problems and agreed rendering is not as fast as Premiere Elements, Elements generally renders at twice the speed of Corel.
Could you please escalate this problem to your development team for investigation because there is definitely a conflict somewhere.
Robert
Can anyone check this filter in VSX6 and see if the problem exists there, I don't have VSX6 installed at the moment

I'm sure GPU vs non GPU is part of the story. I'm also sure how the NLE passes the information back and forth to the plugin is part of the story. I do not have full details as to how the entire process works on all video editors.
NewBlueFX
From this I think they are passing the buck, inferring that it is Corels problem to fix

Re: Rendering issues X7
I've also run into issues with VSX7 slowing way down when using the Touch Up filter. Did anyone find a solution?

Re: Rendering issues X7
Basically, any video with the "touchup" filter on renders about one frame every two seconds with no other modifications. That's on a 1920x1080 h.264 mp4 file.
