Error trying to install sp2 for pspx6

Post by mikesteven »

I downloaded sp2 and received the attached error message when trying to install. I am running windows 7 pro 64bit. Does the service pack not work for this?

Thanks,

Mike

Normally after installing PSPX6, it automatically updates. Are you sure it hasn't already done this and this is why you are getting and error message.
Check the version number 16.2.0.20x64 or 32 depending which X6 you open.

It will not update. When I start the program the dialog box says there is an update. I click to install and I get the same error message. My version is: 16.1.0.48x64

Any ideas on what the problem is?

I have exactly the same problem with the same error mesage. I just bought PSP X6 and I can't even install the program itself getting this awkward message you get.
I am desperately searching for a solver here.

Just wondering if you both have the 32 bit version installed. Is it possible that the update tries to update through the 32 bit version first and is not suited to a standalone 64 bit version. I accepted the 32 and 64 bit versions and on the machine where I updated had no problems.

Maybe fully remove, and reinstall but do both 32 and 64 bit version then update.
Or failing that download the most recent trial, install that and you may find that it includes the updates?? Then apply your licence key to that .
Systems available Win7, Win 8.1,Win 10 Version 1607 Build 14393.2007 & version 20H2 Build 19042.867
