Please Help Vsx6 hangs at convert title 99%
Problem is when rendering either a dvd avchd or blue ray vsx6 stops responding at convert title 99%. It works fine in safe mode. I have tried disabling other services and startup items in normal windows 7 but to no avail. Does anyone else have this problem. This problem has made the program totally usless if I cannot create iso or discs.

Re: Please Help Vsx6 hangs at convert title 99%
Have your tried "deconstructing" the process? The fact that you are referring to "convert title" suggests that you have done your editing in the Edit module, then jumped straight to Share > Create Disc. In that Burning module, you build the menu, the project you edited is converted to the format necessary for the disc (which is the "convert title" part of the process), everything is multiplexed and the burn occurs (whether to disc or iso or Folders). That is piling a lot of complicated processes into one. In theory, it should work, but we have noticed over the years that for some users -- such as you -- it does not.
There are a number of us who recommend taking smaller steps. When you have finished editing in the Edit module, don't jump immediately to Share > Create Disc. Instead, choose Share > Create Video File, then select the format of that video file which is required for the type of disc you are going to burn. For a DVD, it would be a standard def mpeg-2; for a hybrid AVCHD disc, it would obviously be AVCHD/mpeg-4; and for Blu-Ray it could be either high def transport stream mpeg-2 or AVCHD (though taking care not to produce video using 50/60P i.e. 50 or 60 full frames per second unless it is 1280 x 720P AVCHD which is the only 50/60P format you can use under the current international Blu-Ray standard to burn a BD disc).
To do this you can accept one of the default presets offered by X6, or you can set up a Custom template using Settings > Make Movie Template Manager.
When you have produced the new video file, you can of course test it to see if it plays the way you wanted. Then you close the project by selecting File > New Project. Don't bother about a name: the objective is merely to clear the Editing module timeline. Then you select Share > Create Disc and then the type of disc you are intending to burn. The Burning module opens and its timeline should be empty. If it isn't, then delete whatever is there. Then manually insert your new video file using the Add Media button in the top left. Also click on the Options cogwheel icon in the bottom left and make sure "Do Not Convent Compliant Mpeg files" is ticked. (It is by default.) Then build your menu and burn. Hopefully this time the process should complete.

I followed your suggestion and unfortunately I get to 99% and it just stays there. I can get it to work in safe mode but then none of the vitascene transitions work??? Go figure...
I am at a loss. I believe there is some kind of conflict with something running. I have tried disabling services etc but no luck yet. Do you know of any known conflicts with any other programs...?

Re: Please Help Vsx6 hangs at convert title 99%
Hi jrmach
Generally when completing the render at 99% video studio may show a Not Responding, you may see this via TaskManager, the not responding for me only lasts a short while, then usually clears, not a problem. But you seem to be having other problems, you mention Vitascene so………….
Is your pc up to date in respect of Windows Auto Updates.
Also check the Optional Updates.
Some users have had problems when using older Graphics Drivers, you may be best in checking that you are using the latest graphics driver?

jrmach,
have you tried to render without the vitascene transitions? Load your problem project and then Save As a new project file. Then open the new project file, remove the transitions and then try to render again. If this works then it will tell you that there is a problem using the transitions.
