I'm hoping someone can help me . . . I have been using VS7 for some time and have been very happy with it, so I wanted to upgrade to VS9.
I downloaded the VS9 trial and tried it out a bit and liked it, so I went ahead and purchased the upgrade. I've tried for a week now to upgrade my VS7 and it keeps coming up with the error "We cannot find any previous ULead programs on your computer." It asks me to direct it to any products but when I point it to the ULead folder it says I need to have VS5.0 or higher (I have a full version of 7). One strange thing is when I first ran the upgrade it started out by uninstalling the trial version of 9.0 I had downloaded. I'm not sure if this somehow also removed files to identify my VS7 as well?
I've gone through all the FAQs, tried everything even remotely similar they suggest there and on these boards, have written to tech support (no answer and it's been one week) and am at the end of my rope. Does anyone have ANY suggestions for me??? I've never had a problem like this before. I'm using Windows XP Home Edition if that helps. Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately I never got any CDs, I've always bought the downloadable versions. And I copied the VS7 startup file onto a disc and put it in my CD drive and tried to direct the install to that but it won't work either. When it asks me to direct it to the program it's almost as if won't let me click on anything . . . I can highlight a file for a moment but it won't take.
