Been using X6 for years with no issues. Now when I produce a video the audio track is lagging the video by a few seconds. The preview on screen while editing is perfect. But when I burn to DVD or create an MPEG on the computer I get this lag. I've deleted projects and started over, produced several different projects...all the same results. Sometimes it starts mid project, so I've deleted the clips on both sides of the occurrence to eliminate them as a cause.... still the same result.
Anyone experience this and have a cure ? Like I said, original clips are fine, edit mode play them correctly under "clip only" and "project" mode, but when produced... lips moving out of sync.
Nothing "new", same version of software, same hardware.....
Thanks.

Re: Audio lag in produced video
Assuming you are creating standard DVD to play on a standard DVD player
Are you going straight from the project in the timeline into the "Create Disc" module and burning the DVD all in one go.
many users get problems doing that and it has been found that the best way to avoid audio lag is to break the sequence into easy steps
finished editing - "Share >> Create VideoFile" - render out a DVD compliant mpeg-2 - TEST IT for audio/image issues.
Into Create disc module - if there is anything in the timeline in the module - DELETE IT
Using the icons in the top left corner import the video file you have just made - continue to 'Burn' Stage - do not put a disc into your DVD tray - cancel the 'Create to Disc' option and select "Create disc Image" - press 'Burn' to create disc image - when complete play the resulting .iso file in the free VLC to check all is well
Using VideoStudio burn the disc image file (.iso) to a blank DVD
has been found to prevent audio lag for many users.

Hi
Just to add to Brian’s reply, some users have had Audio issues, by deselecting Smart Render has fixed the problem. Don’t ask cos I don’t know why?
From Share Create Video File – DVD—the save window has an options button, deselect Smart Render.
Play the new video to test the quality and OOS.
Use that video to burn the disc image file.
