Video Studio and AVG Technologies confusion?
I opened up my Windows 7 "Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs" list today and saw this (see image). I don't understand why it's saying Video Studio is a product of AVG Technologies (my AVG Internet Security/anti-virus program). Can someone please tell me why it's marked this way?

Visual Studio isn't the same thing as Video Studio.

Re: Video Studio and AVG Technologies confusion?
Please read your image very carefully - it is saying that VisualStudio NOT VideoStudio is a product of AVG products - and is installed on your computer by Microsoft.
As of this moment VideoStudio is still a Corel product.
VisualStudio and VideoStudio are two very different products.

Woops! That was my oversight. Sorry! However, even though I listed the wrong name, the issue is still the same. heh heh.
I see no reference about Microsoft. I'm just wondering why it appears this way, since the programs are not related to each other.

You said "... it is saying that VisualStudio NOT VideoStudio is a product of AVG products - and is installed on your computer by Microsoft." However, Visual Studio is NOT an AVG product. AVG is merely an antivirus program, having nothing to do with video editing software. So, I'm still wondering why it is associated with AVG. I'm sorry to be such a bother, but I just want to understand this.

Re: Video Studio and AVG Technologies confusion?
Those "distributables" are installed when you install AVG. Do a google search on "VisualStudio AVG" and you will get lots of hits from people asking the same question as you.

Thank you (each of you) for the time you spent. I apologize for asking a question about an issue which I thought related to Video Studio (mistakenly). Please, you can delete this entire topic from the forum, since it's not relevant.
