does the thumbtack work?

Post by Wolfy215 »

IN C3DPS I’m making a 150 frame animation. An object rotates frames 1-60. I want it to stay still for 30 frames (T ill 90) than rotate another 60 frames.

I do the first rotate than I want it to stay still, so I go to frame 90 and push the thumbtack button for orientation and position, nothing happens to either one…
Am I doing this right?
Can you suggest a better way?
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

It is quite easy.

1st select the object.

Go to frame 60, On the timeline, choose the orientation bar, rotate the object to where you want it to be. This automatically adds a keyframe on the bar

Then go to frame 90, on the orientation bar, "Add Keyframe" but do not change any orientation.

Lastly go to frame 150, choose Orientation, and rotate the object to where it is supposed to end at.

Run the Navigation Toolbar "Play" and it should display a rotation from frame 0 to 60, pause for 30 and continue to rotate to frame 150.

Cheers

Go to frame 90 on the orientation bar and change any one of the x, y or z values by 1 to add the keyframe, then change the value back to what it was originally.

Hope that helps.

Open Timeline Tool Bar,
There is a + icon with a little triangle on the lower left corner.

That just adds a keyframe without changing anything.

If you can't find it, probably got to mail a picture of it to you

Hope it helps

Anyway, we are learning every time we dare to ask something.
