Screen Capture Has Disappeared - Is It Windows 8.1?

I have been using PSP X5 on my Win 7 desktop PC, which has now died. My replacement PC runs Win 8.1 (64 bit). I have used the original disc to install PSP X5 on the new machine and on the whole it seems to work OK, but I have spotted at least one problem; the option for screen capture under File > Import is greyed out.

Is this a known problem with Win 8.1, or is there something I can do to regain the capability for screen capture?

You installed from DVD, have you installed service packs? Try here: http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... nd-Updates

Service packs shouldn't be needed for screen captures though. The only thing I can think of is resetting PSP to default configuration: press and hold a shift key while clicking on the shortcut to start PSP. Answer Yes when asked if you want to reset. It's worth a try anyway.

Try pressing the Windows logo + PrtSch. Windows 8.1 should automatically make a new folder "Screenshots" under "Pictures" folder. I don't think you can print directly from screen; but you can print from the saved file.

I do a Print Screen then in PSP Edit mode Menu/Edit/Paste as new image.
