Post by tfrenz »

I have an problem.
In my video i have insert an JPG-Map. Then i have create a route with ProDAD RotoPen (is in VS X6 Pro included).
If i make an Video in 760x520 Pixel, the map can't read.
If i make an Video in 1920x1080 Pixel, the Route is not on the original Position.
Is there an Parameter to correct the Possition?

My Computer is an Sony Vaio with 6GB RAM on Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit.

Thanks for infos.

Hi Thomas Frenz
Welcome to the forums

The problem arises with using a different image size/shape than the video frame.
Your image should use 16:9 ratio. Assuming your video is widescreen.

Using an image editor resize/crop your map to use 16:9 ratios.
1920 x 1080 would be 16:9

If the map image has larger dimensions try to retain those as best as possible.

My camera creates Jpegs 5184 x 3456, I would crop to 5184 x 2916 (16 x 9 ratio)

Hope that helps.

Just go into Photoshop and create a 16:9 or 4:3 frame (white, transparent or an appropriate color.) Place your map in that frame. Make sure frame size and project settings are the same (16:9,for the created frame, or 4:3, if that's the size.) Now, it will work. Simple.

Most users do not have PhotoShop :(

I would think that if you are serious about making movies you would have Photoshop (Elements) or a facsimile. Even a novice uses PS for their pics modifications. You certainly need more than VS for photo mods and good movie making.
