Not sure how to do it in Win8 but with Win7 you'd go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel AfterShot Pro\supportfiles\Profiles then find the profile you'd like to use (in this case ProphotoRGB.ICM), right click it then click Install Profile. Once installed reopen PSP, click File> Color Management> Color Working Space. Choose your working color space and have at it.
Thanks, guys. That was straightforward.
Are you suggesting I always use ProPhoto as my Working Space in PSP X6?
What are the drawbacks? Will it affect SaveAs JPEG?

Try it. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but for me the only option for save as jpeg is to either embed the current working space profile or none at all.

If I am processing for print I set the space to ProPhoto (and soft proof) and if I am saving for the web then I set it as sRGB (and set my monitor to sRGB too.

I find that working with Adobe RGB is fine for what I do, but I also run everything through another program for batch resizing that also converts back to sRGB for web display. I wouldn't want to leave jPegs as ProPhoto if you're giving it to anyone else as you never know if their system can display that colorspace properly or not.

Yup, JPGs in ProPhoto are useless. ProPhoto only makes sense for 16bit files, not for 8bits.

cheers
