Hi Trevor

There is unfortunately a time difference between us communicating here, so your answer came in while is was rendering once again after I looked for any problems rendering a test on the last part which I suspected had errors perhaps.

Some interesting things come to my attention. Every time it fails at the same point 73% overall after all the titles were converted in the "Prepare output content" progress.(Video/Audio Multiplexing 31%). But when I look at my folder where the converted titles are stored every one was rendered to the full and plays back up till the end of each part. However the BD folders in the STREAM folder only had 4 files with the last of the 4 incomplete. That was on my last attempt. The previous attempt went on and there were 6 of the 7 projects in the stream folder with the last one incomplete.

On both occasions I played back the stream folders files and on the last occasion I could definitely see that there could be issues at the point where it cut out. But on the previous attempt there was not quit an indication that the clips were mixed.

I attach the relevant screen shots here. Note the time difference in the date modified column between 00002 and 00003, but it went further and output more files than the last one.
I guess my time is running out. I have to finish by tomorrow to certain reasons so I guess I have to go around the clock to do so and perhaps must follow the VS X6 route. It takes some 5hours every time to render to see if the error occur and that only in NTSC. I cannot use the PAL version as I'm sure the pixilation is caused by the cameras set to NTSC.

Hope this will bring you to a better understanding of the problem.

Thank for you help

Regards

Hi Luna

Can you try this

1 / Open your project, the clips populate the timeline.
2 / Share – top option to Create Video File
3 / Choose the AVC/H.264 option.
4 / Choose the profile AVC (1920 x 1080, 50i, 18Mp)

MPEG Transport-Stream Files
24 bits, 1920 x 1080, 25 fps
Upper Field First
(HDMV-PAL), 16:9
H.264 Video
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 18000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 384 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)

This will render the project to a new MTS file, Do you have any problems rendering this project?

For the next step use your MTS file created above.

5 / Start a new project—nothing in the timeline
6 / Share - Disc icon – then Bluray
7 / Burner module opens
8 / Add Media – Add Video files, top left icon
Browse the hard drive for the file created above.
9 / Create your menu and on the final page choose Create Bluray Folder

If that fails again use X6 to complete the burn (steps 5 to 9) using the MTS video file created above.

Thanks Trevor,

I'll try that , I thought of doing that as my last option. I've done different things in the meanwhile and I stopped counting, must have done the rendering 8 times now. Stuck!

Hi luna

I have mentioned this approach before and thought you were doing that.

Once you have created the MTS video file, you use that in the burner module, the process does not re-code/render again, just create menu and multiplexing, that is much quicker than converting the project each time.

Unfortunately your error seems to be during multiplexing, but lets see how it goes using the single video file rather than the project file.

Hi Trevor,

Just want to let you know how I managed to solve the problem. This is however not the way to do but at least I could finish my project.

After rendering the project 10 times without any success I followed your suggestion, but what I did is I used the "converted titles" which was perfectly stored in its folder and imported the videos into the share create BD part. I used VSx7 and then rendered it. As you said it didn't rendered the project again and just started building the output folders. After a short while at 73% it gave me the exact same error.

So I then took the very same files and rendered it with VSX6 and it rendered sucessful. I personally feel this is definitly a bug of VSX7 which Corel should take notice of and sort out. I've lost more or less three full days and long nights. The frustration of doing things for years and then do everything as done in the past just to discover it is a programme fault is really not someting that should happen. The applciation should be tested thourougly before it is released.

At least I could solve the problem as I had other options available, sorry for those who don't have it.

Thanks for all you help.

Hi Luna

Its good that you have X6 to complete your project.
Not so good that Video Studio X7 does not perform correctly.

Over the past few weeks I have upgraded my system to use a Bluray Writer, so am now able to burn Bluray Discs (BD)
Earlier simply burning AVCHD hybrid discs.

I have created a few Bluray Folders using the same process as yourself with no problems, and indeed burned my first disc, used ImgBurn for that. (impressed does the job.)

The point being I have had no issues with Multiplexing, as far as I know you are the only person to report this.

I do not know what the difference is between your pc and my setup.
I know you are using NTSC, providing you are using that throughout the project then there should be no problems, but we have mentioned that.

Without a reply…in an earlier post I did ask “One more question, have you installed Video Studio to use NTSC by default or installed as Pal?”

Corel do have a Facebook account, if you wish to pursue this issue, then maybe ask the question there, or Corels free Customer Support may be still available to you.

If you do finally find the problem I would be interested in knowing what it was?
