Install Corel11

Post by WYOKing »

Hi All, just posting to see if anyone has run into this recently. I just recently purchased a new Toshiba Laptop with Winders 8.1. I installed my Corel Graphics Suite 11 that I used to have installed on an ole WinXP desktop. Anyway, installation was fine. I can launch most everything in the suite except Corel Photo Paint. When you launch it, I receive a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error popup that says, "Runtime Error! Program: ...Files(x86)\Corel\Corel Graphics 11\CorelPP.exe abnormal program termination." I've figured out that if I don't click ok and just put the message down to the Tool Bar, I can work on photos just fine with Corel Photo Paint 11.

Has anyone run into this and if so, how did you or were you able to fix the problem?

Tks,

I'm sorry but we don't cover the CorelDRAW family of products here. That is covered by another set of forums which you will find at coreldraw.com/forums -- though personally I would have to comment that DRAW 11 is quite old these days. I recently installed a not quite as old Draw 14 suite on my Win 8.1 computer, and while it sort of worked, including PhotoPaint, it wrecked a lot of my apps and in effect I had to reinstall 8.1 again... So I suspect you are not going to have much luck with an even older version. (I then installed DRAW 14 on a Win 7 computer, where it works fine...)
