I've been getting familiar with the filters that are native in X5, I'm particularly interested in the 'Old Film'. Is there a place someone can recommend online where I can search for additional filters, transitions and title fonts to import into x5? I need specific sites, not just a suggestion to do a Google search please.

So you want others to do the Google searching for you???

In any case, you will need third party filters and transitions which are specifically rated to work with Video Studio -- not all do. Then there is the question whether they are rated to work in a 64 bit program -- which Video Studio X7 has finally introduced.

That being said, for filters you could look at the NewBlue Video Essentials series of packs (now running from 1 to 7, I think, though it might now be 8). I don't need a Google search for that: newblue.com But the stand-alone version will only work with the 32 bit version of X7, though they work fine in earlier versions of VS as they are all 32 bit. proDAD (proDAD.com) also make a wide range of both filters and transitions, and most work fine with recent versions of Video Studio. On their site look at the Adorage and Heroglyph series of products. proDAD has recently released 64 bit updates for their main products. Bear in mind, though, that both NewBlue and proDAD packages can cost more than Video Studio alone.

As for fonts, any TT fonts that work in Windows generally will work in Video Studio. They are in any case all installed in the Windows Fonts sub-folder. And you *can* do a Google search for fonts -- a zillion sites are waiting for you.
