Hello,
I apologize if I am duplicating and the answer could have been found by a proper search of the boards!
I am frustrated in my uploading to YouTube from Corel receiving a message "Unable to upload file. Check your internet connection and try again." at the end of the lengthy rendering process.
I have a feeling that it may have something to do with AOL being open.
If you can help it would be most gratefully received.
Thanks,
Tony

Re: Uploading to YouTube from Videostudio
Hi Tony
and welcome to the forums
I don’t have an answer as to why your browser does not connect to YT, unless your Firewall is blocking the connection?
I use the Upload to Web option for easy access to the Mpeg4 template, when complete I cancel the YouTube upload window.
Now I play the video file to check quality before logging on to my youtubes account to upload the video.
You could also create your own template copying the YT template, then you would never see the Youtube upload via Video Studio.
What version of video studio are you using?
The latest version X7 requests that you log-on before the rendering process begins, then auto uploads on completion of the rendering, that seems a backward step, Corel implemented that to comply with YT policy.

Re: Uploading to YouTube from Videostudio
I am trialing VS x7. I have PSP x6 and wanted to explore moving images, it seems to integrate well.
Having failed in VS automatic upload I used YouTube's upload process, and was successful, so I will use that in future.
Thank you for your help and advice.
I was logged on to my YT account, so if I find a reason why it failed to work I may append it here.
In the meantime I will continue as you suggest especially as you have more control prior to propagation.

Re: Uploading to YouTube from Videostudio
I also can't upload videos directly to YouTube. I get the "Unable to upload file. Check your Internet connection and try again". The window allows me to first log into my channel on YT but after rendering the failure message appears. I have even logged in & opened YT in my browser while trying this to no avail. I then have to go to YT to upload the videos from their upload button.
I'm using X8 Pro Ultimate.
I'm using X8 Pro Ultimate.
Have used Corel products since CorelDraw 2.01. I drank the Kool-Aid.

Re: Uploading to YouTube from Videostudio
YouTube often changes things at their end and software makers like Corel have to catch up when they become aware of things. We recently had the same thing reported regarding uploading to YouTube using VS X9, and Corel issued a patch which apparently fixed things for the moment. However, you are using X8 and I don't believe Corel will issue a patch for that. They usually only issue patches for the latest version... In other words, you will have to continue doing what you did and go direct to YouTube and use their upload button.
