Hi Forum,
I have gotten myself in a pickle. I shot some video for legal purposes and then ran my camera into a dvd recorder so that I could have the time/date stamp on the video. I then erased the original video from the camera before I realized the month was off by one. So now I have a dvd with the incorrect date that I have imported into VSPx2. My obvious question is how to have a small text block with the correct date to block the incorrect date.
I am not trying to get out of reading my manual, I just don't even know where to start. I was thinking the fix is in the title or overlay tab but I am not figuring it out readily. Any help would so greatly be appreciated even if it is just to point me in the right direction. I am so stressed. Thanks guys.

yes - just make a title - use the yellow corners around it in the preview screen to drag the block as small as you want - and click on it and slide to move it into place over the existing date.

And of course that title would go in either the title track or one of the overlay tracks.

As a certified legal videographer, I find this entire post offensive.

What is offensive? The "hacked" video will of course be useless as "video evidence"rwernyei wrote:As a certified legal videographer, I find this entire post offensive.

exactly. If it was going to be used as evidence, I would not do it. There is no misinformation and the fix is simply to avoid confusion.canuck wrote:What is offensive? Re: ProX2 help - camera time date stamp off
thanks Ken and Brian!
I was playing around with it when I first posted and figured out how to get the title and overlay part done. The only problem I have now is that I am getting my title writing but the letters don't completely cover the other date and the mesh doesn't look right. I am going to read up on overlays as this isn't something I usually have to deal with but I will check back in case one of you have further direction. I know its must be simple, I just don't have to mess with it often enough to get it down.
