hello,
I tried to change the white balance but with tif or with a jpeg I'm unable to change the settings (manually) I'm only able to use the color picker like tool,
anybody knows how to do this?
Regards

The feature you want is not supported/provided.
Still learning after all these years!

Thank you,
So I will have to wait for ASP 2 or start using Windows ;s.
Although I found other ways to accomplish a bit of the same effect...

Changing white balance is a Raw feature. No program, to my knowledge, will/can truly change white balance once it has been converted from Raw.

Yup,brucet wrote:Changing white balance is a Raw feature. No program, to my knowledge, will/can truly change white balance once it has been converted from Raw.
But a color balance for cooked images would not be hard to implement...
I personally would not want this hidden in the WB but in a dedicated tool (see the implementation in PWP).
cheers

Re: unable to manual change white balance
I think you will be okay with 16-bit tif though , should contain more than enough information to allow for small adjustments. (in any case it works like a charm with lightroom )brucet wrote:Changing white balance is a Raw feature. But I got a bit of the same effect with the color correction tool .

Re: unable to manual change white balance
There are a multitude of ways to change colours. But that's a different subject to changing White Balance. We need to be careful not to mix them up.
Us old buggers can mix n match and know, or think we know, what we are doing. But we need to be careful not to confuse those still coming to grips with editing.
