I'm coming from X2, and I'm used to dealing with a number of images on the same workspace, by quickly zooming them down and moving them aside by dragging.
I use the EDIT screen in X6, since that's 99% of what I use it for. It looks like tabs is the new method of dealing with multiple images, and that leaves me with no way of quickly dealing with several images at once. Am I missing something? Or do I have to use the MANAGE or EDIT screens somehow?
BTW, I notice if I have an image in one screen and go to another one the image is lost, so that's a problem.
Ideas?

Try menu Window/Tabbed documents. Uncheck that and you'll be able to open multiple images in the workspace.
